In the transitional and tumultuous time after someone becomes pregnant, I hope to be a source of continuous grounding, empathetic, and resourceful support. I approach this purpose with the intentions of strengthening intuition, providing evidence-based education, and diligently advocating for bodily autonomy. Offering full doula support to my community is how I advocate for justice. It is important for me to use my education and my voice to empower menstruating, pregnant, and birthing people.

I was born in a hospital in California and grew up in the Sierra Foothills. I am the protective middle sibling to a fiery younger brother and whimsical older sister. My call to support people began with them, reading them to bed at night, making our lunches and standing up for them in school.

I started supporting pregnant and parenting individuals as a mentor for high school students, and felt deeply connected to providing support during this transitional life experience. This led me to earn an internship with a birth center where I witnessed childbirth for the first time as a midwife’s assistant. This opportunity also introduced me to the valuable role of the doula. Witnessing doulas support the whole person, extending compassion and upholding bodily autonomy, filling gaps I had observed in the medical system - I knew, I felt, that this was what I wanted to offer my community.
